LPC (License Professional Counselor)

NCC (National Certified Counselor)

I am a licensed  professional counselor and national certified counselor with over 10 years experience in working with children, teens and adults. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Edwards University and later a Masters in Counseling. My varied experience includes working in a drug rehabilitation center, in community mental health settings and in childhood disorders including ADHD. Recently, attained  the credentials LPC- Supervisor to work with counseling interns as they acquire hours for state licensure. As of 2020, I am no longer offering supervision. My expertise includes the navigation of challenging life transitions, anxiety, depression, alcohol/drug recovery, and couples therapy. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches for creating a safe and collaborative environment to overcome negative behavior patterns and expand personal freedom. Sessions frequently incorporate cognitive-behavioral techniques.I have an unshakable belief in the resiliency of individual human potential. I have watched people become more empowered as a result of the therapeutic process ...and then create better lives for themselves and the people who are close to them.
